The dataset contains phenotypes for Moringa stenopetala (native to Kenya) and Moringa oleifera (naturalised to Kenya) from a progeny-provenance common garden trial planted in Kibwezi, Kenya, in 2018. Moringas are economically useful species, valued especially for their nutritious leaves, seeds and soil. They are tolerant of drought and fast growing, but also vulnerable to pests (including termites and birds) and pathogens. The trial was established to quantify genetic variation in Moringa's economically important traits and to link trait variation with genomic variation.
