Multi-proxy measurement data spanning the last 1800 years collected from a peat core in Store Mosse National Park, south-central Sweden, September 2023

[This dataset is embargoed until January 4, 2027]. Multi-proxy data from a peat core extracted from Store Mosse National Park, south-central Sweden in September 2023. Measurements include carbon, nitrogen and phosphorus concentrations, organic compounds determined via FTIR and NIR spectroscopy, inorganic geochemistry - specifically elements that may denote dust or pollution deposition, and physical properties including bulk density and pH. The core reaches 280-cm depth, of which the uppermost 200-cm are the focus of our analysis. Radiocarbon dates, supplemented by pollution deposition markers, indicate this period captures continuous peat accumulation over the last 1800 years.
