This dataset contains scenario-based projections of land use, greenhouse gas emissions and energy system indicators for Brazil. The variables include land-use change, agricultural production, commodity prices, cattle herd size, carbon capture, biofuel production, primary energy supply and sectoral greenhouse gas emissions, expressed in MtCO2e/yr. The data were generated to support research and policy analysis of land-use dynamics, agricultural systems, energy transitions and climate mitigation in Brazil. The projections cover the period from 2020 to 2050 and are reported at five-year intervals. The data cover the entire national territory of Brazil. Spatially explicit land-use outputs are provided using GLOBIOM-Brazil ColRow grid identifiers, while energy and emissions outputs are reported at the national scale. The projections were generated using a regional soft-linked integrated assessment modelling framework, combining the GLOBIOM-Brazil (Global Biosphere Management model for Brazil) land-use model and the BLUES (Brazilian Land Use and Energy System) energy-focused integrated assessment model. The dataset includes outputs for a baseline scenario and multiple mitigation pathways designed to achieve net-zero emissions in Brazil by 2050. It enables comparison of alternative development and mitigation pathways and provides the underlying data used to assess interactions between land, energy and greenhouse gas emissions.
