These datasets each contain maps showing predicted risk of deer impact to woodlands across England and Wales. The "small deer impact risk" map shows impact risk from roe deer (Capreolus capreolus), Reeve's muntjac (Muntiacus reevesi) and Chinese water deer (Hydropotes inermis). The "large deer impact risk" map shows impact risk from red deer (Cervus elaphus), sika deer (Cervus nippon) and fallow deer (Dama dama). The values in the "mean_risk" column are impact risk scores predicted at 25-m pixel resolution, then averaged to woodland polygons. The pixel-level scores were calculated using Bayesian Belief Network (BBN) models, co-developed with scientists and deer managers using iterative expert elicitation.
